Once we've decided to work together we will establish:
 

  • An outline of the task(s)

  • Whether this is a one-off assignment or ongoing support project

  • The deadline date for delivery

  • The budget

  • How you would like me to present the task back to you

  • Frequency of routine updates

  • Frequency of invoicing

  • If you would like me to be pro-active with follow-up work in case I see I can help relieve pressures in other areas of the business

At the end of the discussions we will both have a clear expectation of how we will work together.  I like to work collaboratively and communication is important to me.  Keeping each other 'in the loop' leads to successful delivery of the work.  If at any point I am unsure I will ask you to clarify before proceeding.  Fear not I won't be on the phone every five minutes.  I just see it as essential that we don't rely on telepathy!
